Volunteer Opportunities
Mailing Assistance
Enjoy visiting with other Widowed Persons Service participants while you help us prepare our newsletter for mailing. Volunteers meet at our office in Wyoming, MI to label and seal the monthly newsletter. There are other similar projects throughout the year.
Event Planning
Our volunteers are always planning social events, smaller fundraisers and even coordinating our support group logistics for facilitators. Whether you have just a few hours a month or a week, we can always use your help in event planning.
Obituary Research
Help us find people in need of our services, so that we may help them through their grieving process. We send a simple packet of information and resources to widows and make it easy for them to reach out, when they are ready.
Office Assistance
We have 1 part-time, paid position, so you can imagine there is a lot of other work to be done around our office and in coordinating our support groups, social events and fundraisers. Whether your “tech-savvy” with computers or willing to learn something new, we have roles for you.
